Kaylin says, "To me, being a first generation college student means making the most of the opportunity my parents gave me by immigrating to the United States. Being a Kessler Presidential Scholar means being recognized for the efforts we’ve made to achieve academic success and further our education, despite not having the same resources that others had access to."
